- Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Dong Nai Nature Reserve
- Day 2: Dong Nai Nature Reserve – Cat Tien National Park
- Day 3: Cat Tien National Park
- Day 4: Cat Tien National Park – Bao Loc City
- Day 5: Bao Loc – Bidoup Nui Ba National Park
- Day 6: Bidoup Nui Ba National Park
- Day 7: Bidoup Nui Ba NP – Phan Thiet City
- Day 8: Phan Thiet City – Vung Tau City
- Day 9: Vung Tau City – Ho Chi Minh City

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Dong Nai Nature Reserve
- Transportation from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai Nature Reserve (approx. 2 hours)
- Check-in, then visit the forest
- Daytime targets: Bronzeback Tree Snake, Vine Snake, Flying Snake, Kuri Snakes, etc.
- Nighttime activity: Herping in the forest
- Nighttime targets: Malayan Krait, Malayan Pit Viper, Ruby-eyed Pit Viper, Cat Snake, Wolf Snake; Flying Dragon Lizard, Flying Frog, Treefrog, etc.
Day 2: Dong Nai Nature Reserve – Cat Tien National Park
- Morning photography in the park, then release
- Check out and transfer to Cat Tien National Park
- Nighttime activity: Herping in the forest
- Targets: Malayan Krait, Ruby-eyed Pit Viper, Bronzeback, Red-necked Keelback
Day 3: Cat Tien National Park
- Photography and release; herping in the forest during the day
- Diurnal snakes: Mock Viper, Flying Snake, Tree Snake; other reptiles, butterflies, insects, etc.
- Nighttime activity: Herping in Cat Tien NP
- Targets: Pythons and other snake species
Day 4: Cat Tien National Park – Bao Loc City
- Daytime herping to Crocodile Lake; explore scenic forest trails
- Afternoon check-out and transfer to Bao Loc City
- Nighttime activity: Herping in Loc Bac Forest
- Targets: Vine Snakes, Green Pit Vipers; Frogs (Odorrana, Hylarana, Microhyla, Leptobrachium, etc.)
Day 5: Bao Loc – Bidoup Nui Ba National Park
- Transfer to Bidoup Nui Ba National Park
- Daytime activity: Herping in the forest
- Nighttime activity: Herping in Bidoup Nui Ba NP
- Targets: Slug-eating Snake, Green Pit Viper, Wolf Snake; Frogs and Toads (Odorrana, Hylarana, Leptobrachium, Leptobrachella, Occidozyga, Limnonectes, Duttaphrynus, Ingerophrynus, Ophryophryne, Xenophrys, Kurixalus)
- Special species: Rhacophorus calcaneus, Rhacophorus vampyrus
Day 6: Bidoup Nui Ba National Park
- Daytime photography and release; herping in the forest
- Nighttime activity: Second night of herping in Bidoup Nui Ba NP
- Targets: Slug-eating Snake, Green Pit Viper, Wolf Snake; Frogs and Toads (Odorrana, Hylarana, Leptobrachium, Leptobrachella, Occidozyga, Limnonectes, Duttaphrynus, Ingerophrynus, Ophryophryne, Xenophrys, Kurixalus)
- Special species: Rhacophorus calcaneus, Rhacophorus vampyrus
Day 7: Bidoup Nui Ba NP – Phan Thiet City
- Morning herping around Bidoup Nui Ba NP
- Transfer to Phan Thiet City
- Afternoon search for the Butterfly Lizard (Leiolepis guttata)
- Nighttime activity: Herping in the Phan Thiet desert — a unique habitat with coastal dunes, stunted forests, and a hot, dry environment
- Targets: Oriental Vine Snake, Indian Vine Snake, Angel’s Kukri Snake, Painted Bronzeback (Dendrelaphis), especially Dendrelaphis binhi
Day 8: Phan Thiet City – Vung Tau City
- Continue searching for the Painted Bronzeback (Dendrelaphis), particularly Dendrelaphis binhi
- Transfer to Vung Tau City (also known as Binh Chau Town)
- Nighttime activity: Herping in Binh Chau Forest
- Targets: Bungarus candidus, Calloselasma rhodostoma, Kukri Snakes, etc.
Day 9: Vung Tau City – Ho Chi Minh City
- Search for another Butterfly Lizard species (Leiolepis ngovantrii)
- Check out and transfer to Ho Chi Minh City
- End of trip in Vietnam
