What is the list of journey goals?

The 12-day program will cover all best national parks and nature reserves in southern Vietnam for speciality birds.

• In Cat Tien National park (2.5 days) : Germain’s peacock pheasant, Bar-bellied Pitta, Blue-rumped Pitta, Siamese fireback, Green-legged Partridge and Orange-necked Partridge…
• In Dong Nai nature reserve (1 day): Banded Kingfisher, Blue eared kingfisher, Silver-breasted broadbill, Black and red broadbill, Indochinese Green magpie, Bar-bellied Pitta, Blue-rumped Pitta, Woodpeckers, …
• In Di Linh forest (1.5 day) : Blue Pitta, Indochinese Green Magpie, Bar-backed Partrridge, Black-headed Parrotbill, Long-tailed Broadbill, Red-headed Trogon, Red-vented barbet, …
• In Da Lat city and Bidoup Nui Ba National Park (3 days): Collared Laughingthrush, Vietnamese Cutia, Vietnamese Greenfinch, Grey-crowned Crocias, Black hooded Laughingthrush, White-cheeked Laughingthrus, Annam Barbet, Necklaced Barbet, Da Lat Shrike Babbler, Black-crowned Fulvetta, Annam Sunbird, Langbian Sunbird, …

Is the forest trails easy to follow?

The bird-hide was created to help birders, photographers, easily see and take photos of beautiful and hard-to-reach birds such as pheasant, laughingthrush,… Destinations are always chosen to be easily accessible and suitable for all audiences, especially the elderly.
In each place, we always have the help of local groups, they will be a great assistant to you if you really need their help.

Besides beautiful photos, what else is special about the tour?

The tour will stretch from the south, to the highlands and the central region, through many cultural regions inhabited by more than 20 different ethnic groups. You will see a Vietnam that is completely different from what you see through the internet or books.
Vietnamese cuisine is always rich, with flavors that always satisfy visitors, and your journey will enjoy Vietnamese cuisine that is always different for each meal. We bring you meals that are clean, safe and leave an impression on visitors.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Dong Nai Nature Reserve

• Start at Ho Chi Minh city at 5:30 am, arrive to nature reserve after 2 hours transport by private car.
• full day photography in very good bird-hides: Indochinese green magpie, Laced woodpecker, Common flameback, Indochinese babbler, Silver breasted broadbill, Black and red broadbill, Bar-bellied Pitta, Blue-rumped pitta, Banded kingfisher, Blue eared Kingfisher, Racket-tailed treepie, Babblers, Bulbul, Leafbirds, Sunbirds, …
• Transportation to Cat Tien National park.
• Accommodation in Cat Tien.

Day 2: Cat Tien National park

• We start at 6:00 to birding for highlight targets in Cat Tien: Germain’s peacock pheasant, Siamese fireback, Green-legged Partridge… in the bird-hide.
• Other forest trails for you can see some kinds Black and buff woodpecker, Heart spotted Woodpecker, Black-hooded Oriole, Pied hornbill, Great Iora, Green eared barbet …
• Other bird-hide in Cat Tien NP for Bar-bellied Pitta, Blue-rumped Pitta, Abbott’s babbler…
• After Dinner ,take photos for Owls: Asian barred Owlet, Brown hawk-owl, Collared Scops Owl.
• Accommodation: At the same room

Day 3: Cat Tien National park

• Bird photography along the trails: Lesser yellownape, Black-hooded Oriole, Violet cuckoo, Square-tailed Drongo-cuckoo; Broze Drongo,  Van hasselt’s Sunbird, Ornate sunbird, Ruby-cheeked Sunbird, Common Iora, Indochinese Cuckooshrike, Dark-necked Tailorbird, …
• Afternoon: Banded broadbill, Orange-breasted trogon, …

Day 4: Cat Tien to Da lat City 

• We will safari car of the park for grasslands to take photos for : Green peafowl, Red junglefowl, Indochinese roller, Pied hornbill, Pigeons, …
• Transportation to Da lat city.
• The Dalat Bird-spot: Vietnamese greenfinch, Langbian Tit, Indochinese barbet, Annam sunbird, Langbian Sunbird, Plain Minla, Kloss leaf-warbler…
• Accommodation in Da lat city.

Day 5: Da Lat City – Bidoup Nuiba National Park

• Full-day for endemic bird photos: Grey-crowned Crocias, Dalat shrike babbler, Vietnamese Greenfinch and more beautiful birds: Rufous-backed Sibia, Black-headed Sibia, Chestnut vented nuthatch, Silver-eared mesia, fire-breasted flowerpecker….
• Birds in Bidoup Nuiba NP center: Red crossbill, Annam minivet,  Slender-billed Oriole, Vinous breasted Myna.
• Accommodation : Bidoup Nui ba national park.

Day 6: Bidoup Nui ba National Park – Second Ideal Location for Birds Photography in Vietnam

• Full-day bird photography in the bird-hides for: Collared laughingthrush, Black-hooded laughingthrush, White-cheeked Laughingthrush, Grey-bellied Tesia, White-browed Scimitar Babbler, Rufous-throated Partridge, Black-crowned Fulvetta, Pygmy Cupwing, Large Niltava, White-tailed Robin, Snowy-browed Flycatcher, …
• In addition, We will follow trails for : Necklaced barbet, Mountain imperial pigeon, Spotted Forktail, Slaty-backed Forktail,Plumbeus Water Redstar, Blyth’s Kingfisher, Common Kingfisher.
• Accommodation in Da lat city with the nigh time will going to Da Lat night-culture market.

Day 7: Dalat City – Di Linh forest.

• Morning for Vietnamese Cutia, Dalat shrike babbler, Green-backed Tit, Chestnut vented Nuthatch…
• We will leave Da Lat and go to Di Linh, to Di Linh at 13:30 pm.
• Bird-hide in Di linh for: Long tailed Broadbill, Red-headed Trogon,Black-headed Parrotbill, Orange-headed Thrush, White-throated Rock-thrush, Siberian Thrush, Blue-throated Blue-flycatcher,  Grey-throated Babbler, Puff-throated Bulbul, Ashy Bulbul, White-bellied Erpornis,…

Day 8: Di Linh – Ho Chi Minh City – Flight to Pleiku City.

• Go to the bird-hide to take photos for: Blue pitta, Indochinese Green-magpie, Bar-backed Partridge, Red-billed Scimitar Babbler…
• Transport to Ho Chi Minh city from 10:00 am.
• take flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Pleiku City in the evening flight.
• Dinner in Pleiku city with the traditional dance of indigenous peoples with musical instruments and ancient dances.
• Accommodation: Pleiku city.

Day 9: Ngoc Linh Nature Reserve

• Full day birding in Ngoc Linh Nature Reserve, where there are bird-hide we have set, many species come to bird-hide so you can take photos of  Golden-winged Laughingthrush, Brown crowned Scimitar-babbler, Indochinese fulvetta, Rufous-winged Fulvetta, Rusty-capped Fulvetta, Grey-bellied Tesia, …

Day 10:  Ngoc Linh – Mang Den town.

• Morning continue take photos of speciality birds in Ngoc Linh mountain: Black crowned barwing, Green-tailed Sunbird, Ashy throated Warbler, Golden breated Fulvetta, Black faced warbler…
• Transport to Mang Den town.

Day 11: Mang Den town.

• The day will be take photos for the goal : Chestnut-eared Laugingthrush,Red-tailed Laughingthrush, Black browed Fulvetta, Pale blue flycatcher, … 
• More in the trails for : Sultant Tits, Long-tailed Shrike, Stripe-breasted Woodpecker, Rufous-faced Warbler…
• Accommodation in Mang Den town.

Day 12: Mang Den town – transport to Da Nang city, end your tour.

• Morning will bird photography for : Yellow-bellied Warbler, Yellow-cheeked Tit, Yellow-billed Nuthatch, Sultan Tit, Black-throated Sunbird, Mrs Gould’s Sunbird, Fork-tailed Sunbird, Black-eared Shrike Babbler, ….
• Check out and transportation to Da Nang city, end your tour at Da Nang city hotel at 17:00 pm.
