Garrulax Konkakinhensis – Chestnut-eared laughingthrush

The chestnut-eared laughingthrush (Ianthocincla konkakinhensis or Garrulax konkakinhensis) is an endemic bird of Kon Tum Province, Vietnam. The only known site for this species is a small area in Mang Canh, Mang Den town, the origin of the species’ scientific name followed to the highest peak mountain in that area “Kon Ka Kinh” . Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss and illegal tradion for captive.
