Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Can Gio Mangrove forest – Cat Tien National Park
We will pick you up at 5:30 am, and transport you to Can Gio mangrove forest by private car, breakfast at a restaurant on the way, and nice Vietnamese coffee too. You arrive in Can Gio after 2 hours, we will take a private boat to enter the mangrove forest habitat, after a trip on the boat for 4 hours, we will see: the Irrawaddy dolphin and water birds: Collared kingfisher, Little cormorant,…
Lunch and then visiting Monkey island for Long-tailed macaques, Pig-tailed macaques are easy for photography. More birds: Laced woodpecker, Golden-bellied Gerygone.
14:30 – transport to Cat Tien national park, will arrive at about 19:30 and dinner.
Meals : 3 main meals and a side meal of Vietnamese fruits.
Accommodation: Cat Tien NP. – the private rooms with the best river view, wifi, hot water, and a good restaurant.
Day 2: Birding and bird photograph in Cat Tien National park.
A day for bird-hide with endemic: Germain’s peacock pheasant, Green-legged Partridge, Siamese fireback, and other: Slaty-legged Crake, White-rumped shama, Greater coucal, Bulbuls, …
Yellow-cheeked Gibbon photography
Lunch and rest until 14:30 then visit the bird-hide for Bar-bellied Pitta, Blue-rumped Pitta, Indochinese babblers, Indochinese blue flycatcher, woodpeckers, black and red broadbill…
Dinner and then back to the park for spotlight around 22:00 with target: Pygmy loris, Common palm civet, Giant flying Squirrel…
Day 3: Cat Tien National Park
Breakfast at 5:30 am, then enter the park for a Primate trip in a safari car: we can meet and photograph: Black-shanked Douc one hot target in this park.
8:00: walk to Crocodile lake, on the easy trail with a distance of 5km, you will have a chance to see again: Black-shanked Douc, Annamese silver langur; More with birds, diurnal snakes, and lizards…
When arriving at Crocodile, you can see Siamese crocodiles and water birds. Back to the Center headquarter at 16:00.
16:30: safari car to Grassland for Green peafowl, Green pigeons, Doves, and mammals: Red muntjak and Sambar Deer.
Dinner and then back to the park for spotlight around 22:00 with target: Pygmy loris.
Day 4: Cat Tien NP – HCM city
We start at 6:00 on trails for Banded Broadbill, Orange-breasted trogon, Violet cuckoo, Ruby-cheeked Sunbird, Blue-winged leafbird… and more with bee-eaters, lesser yellow nape, common flame back…
Back to the hotel at 11:30 am
Lunch at 12:30, Check out at 13:30, go back to Hochiminh city, and arrive at the city at about 17:30.
Tour includes Transportation from HCM city to the park and back, a safari car inside the park, National part tickets and crocodile lake tickets, Meals, drinks, Ranger pay for the spotlight; accommodation, guide, and pay for a boat to entry and back out-of-the working time.
