Cat Tien National Park is located in southern Vietnam, is a famous bird watching destination in Vietnam. It can be said that this is a destination that every birder thinks of first when planning to book a bird watching tour in Vietnam.
This is a strictly protected national park, birds are safe inside the national park.
This is a national park with typical habitat for lowland humid tropical forests, including many habitat types: grasslands, evergreen broadleaf forests, lakes and wetlands, dipterocarp forests… providing an ecosystem Birds are very diverse.
This is an easily accessible destination, not far from Ho Chi Minh City, this National Park has a developed tourism service with many hotels and restaurants serving every type of meals.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Cat Tien National Park

Guide will meet you at 6:00 am, then go directly to Cat Tien National Park, arrive to Cat Tien after 3.5 hour on car, after check-in time, we will go to watch some birds, reptiles and animals.

Day 2: Birding and Spotlighting Tours at Cat Tien NP

We wake-up at 5:30 am for “ Yellow cheeked Gibbon” and hear “sing their song” , at 6:30 we back to the restaurant for breakfast and then go to Crocodile lake (9km by car and 6km by walk), on the way we can meet Black-shanked Douc langur , Pig-tailed Macaque, Annamese silver langur, birds, snakes, Lizards …

When arrive to Crocodile, you can see Siamese Crocodile and some kinds of water birds. Back to the Center headquarter at 16:00pm.

Nighttime for herping and spotlight around to 22:00pm.

Day 3: Birding and bird photograph in the park

Wake-up at 5:30 am, after breakfast, we use some bird-hides for photograph the birds in this park. The beautiful birds like Bar-bellied Pitta, Germain’s peacock pheasant, Siamese fireback, Green-legged partridge will in your bugget.

Afternoon time, 15:00pm we go another trails for other bird : broadbills, hornbills, parakeets, Orange-breasted trogon, bee-eaters, sunbirds…

Nighttime herping in the streams : frogs, snakes…

Day 4: Birding morning then go back.

We start at 6:00 in the pick-up car to grassland, where we can find Green peafowl, Roller, Bush-warbler, Coucal, Woodpecker … and some kind of animals : Sambar deer, Red Muntjak, Gaurs.

Go to the Dipterocarp forest with fallen leaves to find raptors, woodpeckers…

After Lunch 12:00am, Check out at 13:30 pm ,go back Hochiminh city.

Meals: B/L/: at the restaurant same with the first day.

Tour include: Transport, National part tickets, rent car inside Cat tien, Meals, fresh water, a beer in night, Ranger cover fee for nighttime in the jungle ( all NP in Vietnam not allow to entry the jungle in the nighttime, so we must ask them for allowed)
