3-DAY FOR BIRD PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR IN CAT TIEN NATIONAL PARK.

This is the trip for 3 days, the journey for bird watching and photography, with especially and endemic in the famous place at the south Vietnam : Cat Tien National park.

This journey will bring more than 60 species of birds to be seen, with more than 20 species you will have beautiful images recorded, as well as Vietnamese specialities: bar-bellied pitta, germain’s peacock pheasant…

The journey will start from Ho Chi Minh City and end will back to Hochiminh city. This is a tour program that can be considered “short and effective”.

An overview schedule is listed below.

Day 1: HCM city – Cat Tien National park:

• Transport to Cat Tien NP : 4 hours from Hochiminh city (170km distance)
• Birds in the hide for photography : Bar-bellied pitta, Blue rumped Pitta, Indochinese babbler, Puff-throated babbler, Siberian blue robin, Abbott’s babbler, Indochinese Blue flycatcher… good pictures in the hide.
• Other trails: Common flameback, Blue-winged leafbird, Van hasselt’s sunbird, Greater racket-tailed Drongo …
• Night for owls : Brown-hawk owl, Oriental bay owl.

Day 2: Cat tien NP

• Early morning visit to the hide for Germain’s peacock pheasant, Green-legged partridge, Siamese fireback, …
• Other bird in trails : Banded kingfisher, Black-hooded Oriole, Violet cuckoo, Square-tailed Drongo-cuckoo; Bronze Drongo, Blue-earead barbet….
• Afternoon: Black and red broadbill, Lace woodpecker, Racket-tailed treepie, Lineated barbet, Green-eared barbet,..
•  
• Night spotlight : Asian barred owlet, Collared scops owl.

Day 3: Cat tien NP – Hochiminh city.

• Safari car for bird: Oriental pied hornbill, Green peafowl, Chinese francolin, Red-wattled lapwing, …
• Others in trails : Common Iora, great iora, Olive-backed sunbird, Parakeet, Scarlet backed flowerpecker, Yellow-vented flowerpecker…
• Lunch and check out.
• Arrive to Hochiminh city at 17:30 pm.

• Noted :

  • This program will open from around year, but from June to November, is the rainy season , so the bird list will different.
  • You can consider the trip 3 day in Dong Nai NR and Cat Tien NP to have better bird photography trip.
