It is a bat-watching program with more than 14 species of bats to observe and photograph in southern Vietnam.

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Tra Vinh Province:

Pick up at HCMC hotel, transportation is about 3 hours by private car with a rest stop on the way—lunch in Tra Vinh province. Check in about midnight.

Afternoon and night: Visit: Flying fox Pteropus Lyle’s flying fox living around some ancient Khmer pagodas, and farm in the fields in the nearby area.

List: Cynopterus sphinx, Taphozous theobaldi, Scotophilus kulhi, Scotophilus heathii, Myotis horsfieldii, Pipistrellus abramus.

Day 2: Tra Vinh Province – Dong Nai Nature Reserve:

Morning transportation is about 4 hours by private car with a rest stop on the way, arrive at Dong Nai NR at about 2:00 pm, and lunch in HCM city. Check in about 2:00 pm.

Afternoon and Night-time: Visit Rhinolophus malayanus (Rhinolophidae) and Hipposideros poutensis (Hipposideridae) in this nature reserve. More species: Taphozous menalopogon, Megaderma spasma.

Day 3: Dong Nai Nature Reserve – Cat Tien National Park

Morning transportation is about 2 hours by private car, arriving at Cat Tien NP at about 10:00 am, Lunch in Cat Tien NP.

Afternoon and nighttime are available for more species, such as Rhinolophus affinis, Rhinolophus pusillus, and Hipposideros armiger, in this national park.

Night-time: Recording the sounds of bats around the central area of ​​Cat Tien National Park with a Petterson M500-384 microphone.

Day 4: Cat Tien National Park

A full day is spent visiting bats in the cave in Cat Tien National Park (Dong Nai) and analyzing the recorded sounds in the field.
